The IBP’s Mycelium Mindset Board Game
STRATEGY // COLLABORATION // UNPREDICTABILITY
Make like a mycelium and grow in unique geometric patterns, connect with both resources and fellow mycelial networks, and react to unexpected challenges and constantly changing conditions with one goal in mind: sporing to survive.

You are a mycelium, both
microscopic // multitude
Thriving in ancient patterns under the earth, you now spawn and grow piece by piece as a uniquely shaped geometric network. You wander in wonder across the board, but move with purpose, growing towards resources whose nutrients you will share—an unbending pine tree, a mighty oak, a carcass that feeds the earth, a heap of manure, and a compost bin that is teeming with life.
Deeply entangled, the connections you create will form fertile ground for you to fruit and spread your spores—your story of survival.

How to play Shroomscape
Play through every stage of a mushroom lifecyle
Play as one of four mushroom characters, with specific strengths and weaknesses. Grow towards Resource Pieces in unique geometric patterns, collect Resource Tokens, sprout Fruiting Bodies, and release Spores!
Find that fine balance between
competition // collaboration
Every Spore comes with a Situation Card—with consequences for the entire Shroomscape. Take on gameplay that fluctuates between competition, collaboration, and unpredictability.

"I'm noticing I’m becoming super attached to my mushroom. At the beginning of the game, I was envious of other movement pieces or shapes but now I think mine's the best."
“I like how unconventional it was. It was engaging and fun. The flow of the game and the twists.”
The Making of Shroomscape
“The game naturally encourages engagement; learning the rules together seems to foster this as well.”
